What To Expect From Coaching

Coaching is similar yet distinct from other partnerships for personal growth like counseling and spiritual direction. As a coach, my role is to provide a confidential space where we explore what you really want, what motivates you, what is getting in the way, and what will give you freedom to move forward.

  1. Get clarity on the specific leadership challenge you're facing.

  2. Examine the situation from fresh perspectives, and identify what's really going on.

  3. Develop concrete next steps and decide on specific actions to take before our next conversation.

  4. Meet regularly for accountability, reflection, and continued problem-solving.

Coaching may also incorporate tools such as CliftonStrengths, Working Genius, and Called & Gifted to help you understand how God has equipped you as a leader.

My Story — Providential Accompaniment

My path following the Lord has been one of providential accompaniment. At every point in my life, God has provided faithful people (mentors, coworkers, friends, and even brief acquaintances) to accompany me and help me respond more fully to his call. Some have walked with me through a particular season, while others have been part of my journey for years.I think of Bible study leaders in college who taught me how to pray with Scripture, the FOCUS missionary who helped me step outside my comfort zone to share my faith, the parish leaders who taught me the value of effective meetings, and the archdiocesan colleagues who showed me how coaching can help leaders grow.I've benefited enormously from the people God has placed in my life. I'd be honored to offer that same kind of accompaniment to you in this next season of your Catholic leadership.

Since 2012, I've served in a variety of Catholic ministry and leadership roles, including as a FOCUS missionary, Parish Evangelization Director, Archdiocesan Coach for Parish Leaders, More Mercy missionary, and Affiliate Coach with Anchor Consulting.

I understand the messiness of ministry, the competing priorities, the burdens and discouragements, as well as the absolute joys of helping others encounter Jesus.

3 Months of Coaching — $750

Coaching can be arranged by an individual or sponsor organization.

What's included:

  • Initial 30-minute call to identify your leadership challenge and goals

  • Two 60-minute online coaching sessions per month (6 sessions total)

  • Email and text support for encouragement and accountability

  • Personalized goals and action steps to keep you moving forward

  • End-of-coaching review to assess progress and celebrate wins
